Hart's Location has hundreds of miles of hiking, including the Appalachian Trail, and the Crawford and Davis Paths, snowshoeing trails - back-country and groomed trail systems abound.  Fishing, canoeing, swimming, and kayaking in the nearby rivers and lakes.  Just minutes to 6 major downhill ski areas (Attitash/Bear Peak, Black Mountain, Bretton Woods, Cranmore, Wildcat, Cannon) and a short drive to hundreds of kilometers of cross-country skiing (Jackson Ski Touring, Bear Notch Ski Touring, Great Glen Trails, Bretton Woods, Mount Washington Valley Ski Touring).  

There is back-country snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, rock-and ice-climbing at sites such as Frankenstein Cliff, and Cathedral and White Horse Ledges. There are indoor and outdoor tennis courts in nearby towns including North Conway and Bethlehem. There are several wonderful golf courses in those towns, too, as well as several driving ranges in Bartlett and Intervale.  Indoor and outdoor skating can be found in the Conway, North Conway Village and in Jackson which are just a short drive away. Horses are available in several nearby locations for lessons and/or guided trail rides.

Hart's Location is located in Carroll County, New Hampshire. The population was 37 at the 2000 census. It was a location until its incorporation in 2001. Hart's Location receives services from the nearby town of Bartlett, but otherwise has its own government, selectmen, and post office.  Hart's Location takes its name from Colonel John Hart of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. In 1772 it was regranted to Thomas Chadbourne, also of Portsmouth.
